Your readers click through to witspeak.ai, read one short English passage aloud (about 30 seconds), and get a careful guess about their first-language background. It is free and needs no signup. Recording happens only on witspeak.ai, never on your site, so there is no script to install and nothing that touches your visitors' microphones.

Before you add it

  • Contributing a recording to improve the model is only for adults and never for school use. If you teach under-18s, share the link with colleagues rather than setting it as a class activity.
  • The result is a guess about language background, not a pronunciation score or an English level. It often says "not sure", by design.
